KentOS ISO Installer Image
We're providing the CentOS 8.2.2004 based variant of a regular CentOS boot ISO customized for direct installation of CentOS with KDE and other third party tools.
- Including Support for Driver Update Disks (at installation time)
- Including Support for HighAvailability (Corosync/Pacemaker Clustering)
- Including Support for RT (Real Time Linux Kernel)
Extract the ISO image for installation:
rpm2cpio kentos-centos-8-boot-iso-8.2.2004-5.el8.x86_64.rpm | cpio -idmv
Download the RPM and extract the ISO image file and burn to CD/DVD or pack to USB Stick with an ISO Imagewriter (alternatively use dd) and install KDE Plasma Desktop 5 on CentOS 8.2.2004 in a customized CentOS installation.
Using OEMDRV driver disk
At the boot screen of the installer, press and append " dd" at the end of the boot command line. Select the ISO as source for the driver disks, then select media/DD-1/dud.iso as the driver update disk. This will allow you to load all drivers available from ELrepo already at the boot prompt to install systems where support is not provided by default by RedHat / CentOS.
