Description

nginx-mainline using alternative SSL implementations.

Packages

nginx-boringssl: Uses Google's boringssl (currently does NOT support OCSP stapling)

nginx-libressl: Uses LibreSSL

nginx-openssl: Uses OpenSSL

nginx-wolfssl: Uses WolfSSL (work in progress)

TODO

• ~easy way of switching between package families, including up- and down-grade path to official distribution packages~
• ~cleanup of rpmlint warnings~
• make libbrotli sub-package shared by all editions
• ~provide 'nginx-filesystem' substitution package~

Installation Instructions

Install copr yum-plugin:

yum install yum-plugin-copr

Enable repo:

yum copr enable bitshaka/nginx-alpn

Enable epel-repository:

yum install epel-release

Install:

yum install nginx-libressl

Switching SSL implementations

yum swap nginx-libressl -- nginx-boringssl

Depending on which dynamic modules are installed, left- and right-hand side should list all dynamic modules.
