The Amazon EC2 Simple Systems Manager (SSM) Agent is software developed for the Simple Systems Manager Service. The SSM Agent is the primary component of a feature called Run Command. The Amazon SSM Agent is licensed under the Apache 2.0 License.
Installation Instructions
See the latest user guide for the SSM Agent. Systems Manager relies on Amazon EC2 instance metadata to function correctly. Systems Manager can access instance metadata using either version 1 or version 2 of the Instance Metadata Service (IMDSv1 and IMDSv2). For more information, see Instance Metadata and User Data in the Amazon EC2 User Guide for Linux Instances.
