This repository ships mutter with the Hardware Cursor disabled on Wayland to avoid https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/2045
GNOME 41.2 + Nvidia 495 have a memory leak on Wayland, producing errors such as [drm:__nv_drm_gem_nvkms_map [nvidia_drm]] *ERROR* [nvidia-drm] [GPU ID 0x00000100] Failed to map NvKmsKapiMemory on dmesg and preventing programs from opening, this can be worked around by disabling the hardware cursor.
Installation Instructions
You no longer need to install any modified package as Fedora's included Mutter comes with the ability to disable the Hardware Cursor using a debug flag.
To do so create a .conf file in: ~/.config/environment.d/ (ex: ~/.config/environment.d/99-sc.conf) containing the following: MUTTER_DEBUG_DISABLE_HW_CURSORS=1 and reboot or log out and log in.
