Shutter is a feature-rich screenshot program for Linux based operating systems such as Ubuntu. You can take a screenshot of a specific area, window, your whole screen, or even of a website – apply different effects to it, draw on it to highlight points, and then upload to an image hosting site, all within one window. Shutter is free, open-source, and licensed under GPL v3.
Third Party Packages
Shutter depends on several outdated libraries and therefore has been removed from some distribuitions’ official repositories. Currently a GTK3 port is underway such that Shutter can be packaged for repositories again.
So, shutter was on fedora oficial repositories until F33, then it was retired.
So, if you ar on F34 and still wanna use shutter, proceed as folow:
Enable this repo:
sudo dnf copr enable geraldosimiao/shutter
Install shutter and his dependencies:
sudo dnf install shutter
