Mesa 19.2 for Fedora 30/31. This repo initially was used to expedite the process of using DXVK on these distros, as special Mesa patches were needed. These days though, all of the relevant DXVK patches are long since upstreamed. As a result, this is usually just identical to the upstream Mesa already included in the repos.
I only update this repo in the following situations:
- A new quarterly release is out
- I am including patches which implements functionality that is not yet in a quarterly release
I recently switched to Gentoo, but I have installed rpmbuild so that I can continue to maintain this Copr.
Sometimes I may provide release contestant builds, if there is significant functionality added which I deem important enough to warrant updating the repo.
Because Mesa needs to install both 32 and 64bit packages, just adding the COPR repository by default will not work. You will need to manually create a yum sources list file.
Create a file named
/etc/yum.repos.d/jerbear64-mesa_dxvk.repo with the following contents:
[jerbear64-mesa_dxvk-64] name=Copr repo for mesa_dxvk owned by jerbear64 x86_64 baseurl=https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/jerbear64/mesa_dxvk/fedora-$releasever-x86_64/ type=rpm-md skip_if_unavailable=True gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/jerbear64/mesa_dxvk/pubkey.gpg repo_gpgcheck=0 enabled=1 enabled_metadata=1 [jerbear64-mesa_dxvk-32] name=Copr repo for mesa_dxvk owned by jerbear64 i686 baseurl=https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/jerbear64/mesa_dxvk/fedora-$releasever-i386/ type=rpm-md skip_if_unavailable=True gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/jerbear64/mesa_dxvk/pubkey.gpg repo_gpgcheck=0 enabled=1 enabled_metadata=1
Proceed to install Mesa as normal.
