Description

Rebuilds of the docker-distribution (registry) software to versions newer than the base repositories

The outdated builds in the default repositories include patches that were upstreamed in 2.7; removed as a result:

adds-support-for-oci-manifests-and-manifestlists.patch
register-v1-MediaTypeImageIndex.patch

Installation Instructions

Enable the repository:

dnf copr enable jlay/docker-distribution

Install the package:

dnf in docker-distribution

Configure the service
Note: see configuration reference

sudoedit /etc/docker-distribution/registry/config.yml

Enable/start the service:

systemctl enable --now docker-distribution
