Description

OpenJDK 8 that does not rely on the system NSS version to make it compatible with old RHEL6 versions with an outdated NSS library.

Installation Instructions

Rationale:

On an older RHEL6 system, the regular packages will not be available for installation. Add this repository or install the RPMs manually to obtain a working OpenJDK 1.8.

Builds with OpenJFX

A tarball with OpenJFX (WebKit enabled) can be found here: https://artifactory.luxoft.com/ojdk8rhel6-generic/

The tarball can be extracted and should work on most GNU/Linux systems. It was successfully tested on Fedora 30, RHEL 6.1 and Ubuntu 16.04.
