Description

This tool monitors systemd’s journal and pops up a notification when there are warnings or errors (or anything else you want to make it catch besides the default config). It is capable of monitoring remote hosts through SSH.

Installation Instructions

After installing this package, do read the README.md in /usr/share/doc/journalctl-desktop-notification or at https://gitlab.com/Zesko/journalctl-desktop-notification/-/blob/master/README.md . Although it does work at of the box, it's best used after taking a few minutes to configure it. Notably, the README explains how to have it start automatically and monitor headless servers through SSH.
