(!) Builds with static dependency linking. So partly not compliant with packaging guidelines. (!)
(!) Using cargo (Rust) and Deno with npm (Node.js) to fetch (build) dependencies. (!)
Deno and yt-dlp-ejs use lock files to pin dependencies. This mitigates potential supply chain risks in cargo / npm.

Deno is a simple, modern and secure runtime for JavaScript and TypeScript that uses V8 and is built in Rust.
It's the recommended external JavaScript runtime in yt-dlp.
yt-dlp-ejs (release)
External JavaScript for yt-dlp supporting many runtimes. Python package.
