Description

Lightdm and accompanying programs for CentOS/RHEL 8.

NOTE

The package slick-greeter-cinnamon package will not install without the cinnamon desktop environment and the mint icon and GTK themes. if you wish to install the slick-greeter-cinnamon package, enable the stenstorp/cinnamon and stenstorp/icon-themes repositories with the following commands:

sudo dnf copr enable stenstorp/cinnamon
sudo dnf copr enable stenstorp/icon-themes

Installation Instructions

Install

sudo dnf install epel-release
sudo dnf copr enable stenstorp/lightdm
# Only ONE of the following combinations:
sudo dnf install lightdm-gtk-greeter lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings
sudo dnf install slick-greeter lightdm-settings
sudo dnf install slick-greeter-cinnamon lightdm-settings
sudo dnf install slick-greeter-mate lightdm-settings

Enable

sudo systemctl disable gdm
sudo systemctl enable lightdm
