Description
Тapper is a keyboard layout switcher for X Window System and Wayland. Tapper runs in background, when an assigned key is tapped, Tapper activates the corresponding keyboard layout. Tapper unique feature is using modifier keys for activating keyboard layouts without losing modifier's functionality. The Tapper's primary platform is GNOME Shell running on top of X Window System or Wayland in the current version of Fedora, but Tapper also works for Cinnamon, GNOME Classic, KDE, LXDE, LXQt, Mate, Xfce running on top of X Window System in other GNU/Linux distros. Tapper is free software.
Installation Instructions
Fedora:
$ sudo dnf copr enable vandebugger/tapper
$ sudo dnf install tapper
Mageia:
$ su -c "sudo dnf copr enable vandebugger/tapper"
$ su -c "dnf install tapper"
openSUSE:
$ sudo zypper addrepo https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/vandebugger/tapper/repo/opensuse-$VER/vandebugger-tapper-opensuse-$VER.repo
$ sudo zypper install tapper
where $VER is openSUSE version, e. g. leap-15.2 or tumbleweed.
