Experimental Copr Repository This Copr repository is mainly for fun, testing, and experimenting with Amazon Linux 2023. You are welcome to use it if you find it helpful, but please be aware: Packages are provided as-is, without any guarantees of updates, CVE patches, or long-term maintenance. This repository is intended only for functional proof-of-concept (POC) purposes. I do not provide support and assume no legal responsibility for any consequences of using these packages. If any package is found to violate licensing terms or other rights, I will remove it once notified. This is a personal Copr project. Please do not assume any connection with, or support from, Amazon or AWS (or any other corporation). Since this repository is experimental and for fun/testing, it may include aggressive updates or new packages that may not be suitable or appropriate for the official Amazon Linux 2023 core. Getting Started You can try it out by installing one of the desktop environments: lxqt-desktop xfce4-desktop lxde-desktop These include VNC xstartup scripts for the ec2-user. For a better experience with audio support, consider using solutions such as NICE DCV. Notes xwalker is also my account, just in case some may be curious There're much more than desktop pkgs, such as libreoffice, ffmpeg, etc. Other than ESR, here firefox here is the latest standard version if available -- but I strongly discourage the use of this build since I only use it to follow the latest build requirements -- you should always use the formally shipped ESR version which is well tested and used by many users . This is to reduce the surprise when updating ESR versions. (it was a real pain when I did 115->128, including being forced to update Rust from 1.6x to 1.8x first). drop me a note if you want some pkgs @wyhang@gmail.com. but pls be noted your formal request should go to https://github.com/amazonlinux/amazon-linux-2023/issues.
