Almost-stable releases of mesa3d graphics drivers: get the newest features with the fewest bugs.

This repo is an alternative to `mesa-git` copr repos.
Instead of the bleeding edge git versions, we stick to releases and release candidates from the Mesa team.
This somewhat shields against instability from unreleased mesa versions.

Use at your own risk!

This COPR's packages:
- are based on the official Fedora mesa repo.
- use [Open Gaming Collective](https://opengamingcollective.org/) patches.
- enable the AMD Anti-lag vulkan layer.
- are easily auditable: there are only a few small commits on top of Fedora's repo: see [https://github.com/adil192/mesa](https://github.com/adil192/mesa).
- are automatically updated at most 2 days after being tagged upstream.

This package builds the optional `jsregexp` native module used by
[LuaSnip](https://github.com/L3MON4D3/LuaSnip) for `luasnip` regex
support, without requiring a Neovim/Lua build environment on the target
machine. It's meant for binary-only Neovim configs in containers and minimal environments where compile tools are not desired or available.

A personal COPR repository featuring various RPM packages and `.spec` files for daily use on Fedora.

Unlike the microarchitecture-specific repo, [chaotic-blackbird](https://github.com/Kasull-454/chaotic-blackbird), the packages in this repository are compiled **without CPU optimizations** (standard generic x86-64), ensuring full compatibility across all hardware supported by Fedora.

> **NOTE:** This repository primarily hosts packages I compile for my own personal workflow. However, I am open to adding new packages **upon request** whenever possible.

The repository's name is inspired by [Chaotic-AUR](https://aur.chaotic.cx/) for Arch Linux, bringing a convenient pre-built package collection over to Fedora.

kasull/chaotic-blackbird

Fork of the `gh4rib/copr-linux-cachyos` repository, extended with packages I need that require recompilation for **x86_64-v4** and **x86_64v3** microarchitecture to achieve the highest possible performance for selected compute-intensive software, while fully respecting the CachyOS philosophy brought over to Fedora:
- **x86_64-v4**: performance-optimized packages that are fully optimized for the latest CPUs have a specific build, identified by the suffix *-v4* or *-avx*.
- **x86_64-v3**: the remaining packages in the repository.

>**WARNING:**
>
>If you are using older hardware (*v1* or *v2*), do not install these packages and use standard Fedora repositories instead.
>
>Packages in this repository are compiled for **v4** or **v3** microarchitectures, and will **NOT WORK** on CPUs that lack the required hardware support, triggering an *"illegal instruction"* error or a system crash:
>* **x86-64-v4 variants (`-v4` / `-avx` suffix):** require native support for AVX-512 instructions (**AVX512F*, **AVX512BW**, **AVX512CD**, **AVX512DQ**, **AVX512VL** — roughly Intel 11th Gen *Rocket Lake*, *Ice Lake*, Xeon Scalable, and AMD *Zen 4* / *Zen 5* CPUs and newer). Installing these kernels or packages on hardware lacking AVX-512 (v2 or v3 microarchitectures) will cause a *kernel panic* on boot.
>* **x86-64-v3 packages:** require support for v3 line instructions: **AVX**, **AVX2**, **FMA**, **BMI1**, **BMI2**, **MOVBE**, and **LZCNT** (roughly Intel 4th Gen *Haswell* / AMD *Zen 1* CPUs and newer).

| Requirement / Package | AVX packages (x86_64-v4) | Base packages (x86_64v3) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Naming Convention** | Suffix `-v4` / `-avx` (e.g., `kernel-v4`) | Standard (e.g., `kernel`) |
| **Microarchitecture** | x86-64-v4 | x86-64-v3 |
| **Instruction Set** | AVX-512 (F, BW, CD, DQ, VL) | AVX, AVX2, FMA, BMI1/2, MOVBE, LZCNT |
| **Compatible CPUs** | CPUs with native AVX-512 support | Intel 4th Gen (Haswell)+ / AMD Zen 1+ |

The repo name is, of course, inspired by the famous *american toy* of the Cold War to come out of Lockheed Martin's *Skunk Works* in the '60s, the [SR-71 Blackbird](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_SR-71_Blackbird), known precisely for its extreme performance, and from the [Chaotic-AUR](https://aur.chaotic.cx/) repository for Arch Linux.

---
> **NOTICE REGARDING CREDITS AND PACKAGE AUTHORSHIP**
>
> The work in this repository consists primarily of collecting, adapting, and maintaining existing .spec files, in order to enable a single COPR for all the packages I use that are not present in the standard Fedora repositories and to avoid most dependency conflicts. Only a portion of them was created directly by me from scratch.<br>The authorship of the packages and the original .spec files belongs to their respective authors and upstream projects, to whom I extend my sincere thanks for their contributions.For a complete list of credits, sources, and individual attributions, please refer to the ATTRIBUTION.md file.

We want to provide you with the most recent and successful builds of [LLVM](https://www.llvm.org) for Fedora and RHEL in a "rolling" fashion. That means, if you enable this repository, you should get new releases for LLVM frequently.

### Fedora versions and architectures

We build for the following architectures and operating systems, but please notice that this list changes when new Fedora/RHEL versions are being released.

```console
$ copr list-chroots | grep -P '^(fedora-(rawhide|[0-9]+)|rhel-[8,9]-)' | sort | tr '\n' ' '
fedora-39-aarch64 fedora-39-i386 fedora-39-ppc64le fedora-39-s390x fedora-39-x86_64 fedora-40-aarch64 fedora-40-i386 fedora-40-ppc64le fedora-40-s390x fedora-40-x86_64 fedora-rawhide-aarch64 fedora-rawhide-i386 fedora-rawhide-ppc64le fedora-rawhide-s390x fedora-rawhide-x86_64 rhel-8-aarch64 rhel-8-s390x rhel-8-x86_64 rhel-9-aarch64 rhel-9-s390x
```

### Incubator projects

Did you notice a line like the follwing at the top of this project page?

```text
@fedora-llvm-team/llvm-snapshots ( forked from @fedora-llvm-team/llvm-snapshots-big-merge-20231218 )
```

We carefully create a new copr project for each day. These projects are called *incubator* projects.
Only if all packages for all operating systems and architectures in an incubator project were successfully built without errors,
we will promote it to be the next "official" snapshot here.

That is the reason why sometimes it can take days until a new version of LLVM
will be published here. If you're interested in the version for a particular day, feel free to open **https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/fedora-llvm-team/llvm-snapshots-big-merge-YYYYMMDD/** (replace **YYYYMMDD** with the date you desire). Notice, that we cannot keep the invdividual incubator projects around forever.

iloader is a user-friendly iOS sideloading companion built with Tauri. It lets you install apps like SideStore and import your pairing file with ease, providing a friendly front-end to isideload on Linux.

This package rewraps the upstream prebuilt Linux RPM with a Fedora spec. Library dependencies are auto-detected by rpmbuild's dependency generator; usbmuxd and other system deps are declared explicitly. Currently x86_64 only, matching upstream's prebuilt release artifacts.

Fixes silent built-in speakers on the Lenovo ThinkPad X14 Gen 1.

The Embedded Controller comes out of a cold boot with the speaker amplifier
hard-mute bit set (EC RAM 0x3b, bit 0). That bit is unnamed in the firmware and
no ACPI method clears it, so the speakers stay silent even though the codec,
the pins and the mixer are all configured correctly. Suspending once clears it,
which is why the sound "fixes itself" after a resume.

This is a DKMS kernel module that clears the bit at boot and after every
resume, using the kernel's own ACPI EC accessors. It carries a DMI allowlist
and refuses to load on any other model.
