david35mm/snapwm

snapwm is a dynamic tiling window manager that aims to be light on resources, easy to configure and offer choice. The main emphasis is on keyboard control with some mouse support provided. There are four tiling modes (Vertical, Horizontal, Grid, Fullscreen) and a stacking mode. Three simple text files that are updatable with a keyboard shortcut make configuration simple. There is a bar with a desktop switcher and space for user supplied text. Multiple monitors are supported through Xrandr and Xinerama with one desktop shown per monitor.

The Unix man command can open a manual page if you know its name, and the apropos command can search through the manuals if you are looking for a specific word. Let's put the two to work together into a command I like to call macho: the man command on steroids.
