Project ID: 125616
Description
Rebuilds of the current Fedora kernel with patches from Tuxedo for their laptops.
For now focusing on patches needed for my personal use on a Tuxedo Sirius 16 Gen 1. Open to contributions to find and rediff other Tuxedo-specific patches which may be needed for that or other devices, but for now I can't commit to maintaining a comprehensive port of Tuxedo's kernel rebased on Fedora's.
Focusing on latest stable Fedora for x86_64.
Tuxedo patches included on top of current Fedora kernel:
- Sirius 16 Gen 1: PCI: Fix suspend issues with AMD root ports
Installation Instructions
Enable the copr repo with:
sudo dnf copr enable akien/tuxedo-kernel-fedora
If the repo is up-to-date with current Fedora repos, the .1.copr
kernel build should have a newer release than the version in Fedora, and be installed.
Whenever Fedora pushes a new kernel version/release to the stable branch, it would override this one until a new version has been built. I'll try to get builds going quickly after Fedora pushes new versions, but if you're worried about security, let dnf install the vanilla Fedora kernel and you'll eventually get the copr version when it's available.
