Installation Instructions
For Gnome-Shell it is recommended to use Appindicator Support -- can be installed with one click directly from your browser: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/615/appindicator-support/
This allows you to show the preferences once you close the main window and pause flux whenever you need precise colour representation (photography editing, movies, ...)
