Description
LinuxCNC CNC and Robotics Controller Software. DOES NOT INCLUDE A REALTIME KERNEL. Built with --realtime=uspace flag. Some of the permissions have been 'normalised,' so you may have to elevate them again if you do use it with an RTAI kernel. I use it on a laptop just to preview and simulate G-Code files. For realtime control of an actual machine it is much easier just to use a live ISO image straight from linuxcnc.org. But that is my humble opinion.
Installation Instructions
The very first time you run the program it will ask you to copy over a configuration into your home dir. Once you've done that you can remove the config rpm, which is all of the sample configurations.
For Fedora 42 you must downgrade bwidget if you have it already installed. # dnf install bwidget-1.9.7 For subsequent updates of your system do not allow it to upgrade again # dnf update --exclude=bwidget
Copr user dwrobel looks like he has a version that will run smoothly in real time mode, but Google probably already told you that.
