Description
Good-old date- and time-setting rdate software implementing RFC 868 (inetd time) and RFC 2030 (SNTP/NTP) protocols. An independent package of OpenBSD's rdate program.
Installation Instructions
Add the Repository to the configuration directory under CentOS 8 by creating a file under the path /etc/yum.repos.d with path and filename /etc/yum.repos.d/tachtler-openrdate-epel-8.repo and the content from link below: Repo Download - EPEL for CentOS 8.
Compare the GPG-Key - FINGERPRINT for the Repository, using following command
# wget -qO- https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/tachtler/openrdate/pubkey.gpg | gpg --import-options show-only --import --with-fingerprint
the output shows the correct FINGERPRINT

Install the GPG-Key for the Repository only, if the FINGERPRINT matches, with following command
rpm --import https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/tachtler/openrdate/pubkey.gpg
Install the RPM-Package with following command
# dnf install openrdate
