Unofficial rebuild of Borg Backup for CentOS Stream 8/9, and EPEL 8/9.

Installation Instructions

Quickly enable using dnf copr enable ufven/borgbackup-1.2, or manually by downloading the appropriate repository file and saving it in /etc/yum.repos.d.

Since version 1.2, borgbackup requires Python 3.8+. For CS8/EL8, the streams python38:3.8, python38-devel:3.8 must be enabled.

Essentially, this boils down to:

dnf --assumeyes install 'dnf-command(copr)'
dnf --assumeyes copr enable ufven/borgbackup-1.2
dnf --assumeyes module enable python38:3.8
dnf --assumeyes module enable python38-devel:3.8
