Project ID: 8699

Description

An up-to-date version of Stacked Git, with unreleased patches from upstream plus my own bug fixes and features for better integration with Gerrit.

StGit is a Python application providing similar functionality to Quilt (i.e. pushing/popping patches to/from a stack) on top of Git. These operations are performed using Git commands and the patches are stored as Git commit objects, allowing easy merging of the StGit patches into other repositories using standard Git functionality.

Note that StGit is not an SCM interface on top of Git and it expects a previously initialized Git repository. For standard SCM operations, either use plain Git commands or the Cogito tool.

Installation Instructions

This is (at the time of writing) a newer version of the stgit package available in Fedora, plus some custom patches. Please report bugs, especially bugs to do with git hooks, to me in the first instance as they may not be present in the upstream version.

If you find a bug that is reproducible using upstream code, you can report it to the stgit-users@gna.org mailing list.
